Michigan tax credit, public contribution does qualify?
Hello, I attended a charity wine tasting at the University of Michigan and received $ 30 tax credit bill last year. The Michigan tax return, "I can include this public credit as a contribution? The brochure states grants for qualifying Michigan public universities in Michigan organizations and institutions fundraising and use of Schedule 2 – Credit line 2 public contribution. Just a note in my federal, I'm doing the standard deduction. (Not itemized.) Thanks.
I would think that the donation would be eligible for the credit if the charity event was hosted by the U of M and revenue benefited from the University of Michigan. In addition, only allowed to deduct 50% of the donation or $ 15.
How I made friends with Paris
My friend and I decided to go to Paris to see all the wonders that are driven everywhere. Yes, the Tower, the Louvre, Notre Dame and so on and so forth. Just to find out if everything is really worth admiring.
When we finally got to Paris and made our first exit I realized that the information written in one of the leaflets was correct. After contemplating wandering around, breathing the air of the streets of Paris until it finally got hungry and had a dinner with all my heart in a of the cozy cafes. Dinner with wine, of course. You can not stop drinking wine in Paris. It's a pity of course that is impossible to try all types of French wine. But one should strive for it. We try hard.
The next day we went to the Champs Elysees. The opening scenes are very impressive I would say! Thinking remember what to do then you paid for the travel of water along the Seine that runs throughout the city. Our tickets were no dates, so we decided to use it. Well … What I can say … which is one of the most impressive all the way! Famous Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Latin Quarter … it was dark. The city is charming, bright light … romance. Pure romance.
Magical night ended with a visit to the Eiffel Tower, which is elegant and intelligent clothing night.
The third day we spent with our guide and the group of tourists who came with. A great trip, including Versailles. Well … The French kings knew how to spend the money. A nice place to live. The photos we took there are wonderful. I like to go over them again and again.
In the dream Dasha at night became a reality. And I do not dream of peace on the planet. My friend dreamed of visiting the Moulin Rouge after she saw the movie starring Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor. The show is to attract attention, no doubt.
The fourth day was devoted to Montmartre. One of my friends is an artist. He says it is a of inspiration for all creative people. We decided to check. The atmosphere is definitely in particular. I would say Bohemian. Painters, musicians everywhere … and Sacre Coeur, the lovely Basilica. We bought several paintings (which are expensive in Montmartre, but it is important to know that just bought there.) I bought a CD of a musician local, a book about the place and so much memories!
The next day we went to Notre Dame. The cathedral is more than seven hundred years old. Built in three stages and completed in 1250, after about 170 years of construction.
